Furnierwerk Heinrich Wehmeyer:
Local Themes in Münster
Bonn/Havixbeck. Finest oak veneer now adorns the rooms in the service area of a major bank in Münster/Westf. The final result of the modernization should look minimalist and have a connection to the city. The creators have consistently succeeded in this when viewing the images.
For the project in Münster, a large European oak trunk with uniform color and straight structure was sought in advance. Qualitatively, it should be suitable for high-quality interior construction, produced as a simple rift veneer. "Ultimately, around 600 square meters of FSC-certified thick veneer with a thickness of 1.4 millimeters were used," says Heinrich Wehmeyer, managing director of the eponymous company. Upgraded with the wood of the beautiful tree were meeting counters, consultation and conference tables, as well as areas in consultation and consultation room zones throughout the service area of the major bank. Responsible for this is an experienced interior fitter who has been active for many years. The highlight of the project is the thematic worlds developed in the context of modernization with reference to the city of Münster. The arcades can be seen, but the important role of Münster as a cycling, conference, university, and science city also becomes apparent," reports Wehmeyer. "This project excellently demonstrates the important role of wood and its veneer for the well-being of people, or in this case, bank customers." Nothing less than nature itself is gently transported with veneer into all kinds of spaces, transforming sterile living and working environments into individual, sustainable places that serve creativity," says Ursula Geismann, Managing Director of the Bonn Initiative Veneer + Nature (IFN) and trend expert, about the project.
